The Am I Ready 4 Kindergarten Book Series
Each book in my Am I Ready 4 Kindergarten? series focuses on one or more of these categories within the early learning standards:
- Physical (Large and Small Motor)
- Math
- Social Interaction
- Language and Literacy
In each story, the puppies’ activities are accompanied by questions, cross-referenced in an early learning standards index at the back of the book. Parents can use these questions to motivate their child to imitate the characters in the book and master the skills highlighted in that story. They can also use the index to look deeper into the standards and design their own activities to help their child become kindergarten ready. These books are an excellent way for parents to interact with their children and create their own learning opportunities.

The second book in the Am I Ready 4 Kindergarten? series, Kalvin and Kaiser’s Family Fun Day, focuses on early learning skills in the math development category, which includes shapes, patterning, sorting, and matching. Join Kalvin and Kaiser, two fun-loving preschool puppies, as they play inside and outside with their parents during an on and off again rainy day.
